HOW IT WORKS:

Imagine that you need to speak with someone but don't have their cell phone number. So you send a text message (SMS) to GCD stating that person's name and the town they're in. If they're also registered, then GCD will send them an SMS with your number, and saying that you want them to call you. It's that simple!

Now, there may be more than one John Smith, so GCD may need to add an extra step asking you to refine your request with one or two key pieces of information - that's why we ask you to provide any information about yourself that will distinguish you from other namesakes (city, birthplace, pet name, etc.).

But if GCD can't locate them, there is no charge (other than what your network service provider may charge you for one or two SMS messages. If GCD does contact them successfully, then you will be charged for a premium rate SMS @ £1.50 or $1.99 depending on what part of the world you're in (these charges may vary slightly).
